- Fits/For: 1987-2016 MerCruiser V-6 & V-8 GM inboard/outdrive engines (except high performance engines) with standard cooling requiring a 160° (F) thermostat. Easy to replace with common shop tools. Only use the temperature thermostat listed in your owner's or service manual. Proper engine cooling temperature assures peak performance and highest efficiency
