AWESOME!!!

I bought this set along with the Panasonic and Vtech. I should have went with my gut and just bought the Uniden. I returned the others within the day. My previous system was a Uniden also and it is at least 12 years old and still going. We moved and needed the longer range and wanted the more secure technology. I love the multiple ring tones and they sound like songs, not "tones". It has those if you want them though. Currently, I don't use the answering system but may in the future. Some of the complaints of the other units were that the numbers rub off...the Uniden has the numbers under clear buttons. This unit has a mode to reduce noise on hearing aids. No menu to scroll through to find the intercom, great for kids. When it's on speaker the sound is loud and clear and no cut-out. Extra handsets are about 20.00 and easy to find. One reviewer stated that they had a problem with it keeping time, no issue with that. Another stated it didn't show caller id when someone called in if you were on the line. That is a feature you can turn off and on. I'm very happy. Oh and the cost is awesome.

great buy!

I really like the idea of the waterproof handset. i can carry it with me when i go to the garden, or go out to shovel snow, or just work in the rain. Since there is no cell service in my part of the WV mountains the increased range allows me to go even further if i need to.

Uniden D1680-3X

Excellent set for the price. Spouse is constantly on phone and killed new battery in old phone. This set works perfectly (small size of battery for the power is amazing!). It hasn't run out of power yet on any one set. It is great that they do not use too many trees for extra packaging. Although an instruction booklet would have been nice, it was easily accessible at Uniden's website. I really like the cool orange "submersible" phone. Thank you Sam's!
