Please keep in mind, while the Etch Remover is an effective solution, it may not be able to remove all types of deep etching. Procedure

To confirm the results and procedure, start by setting up a test area. Once you're ready, follow these steps:

• Wet the etched area with clean water.
• Wet a soft cloth with either cotton or microfiber.
• Make sure the Etch Remover is well-mixed.
• Apply 1/2 teaspoon of Etch Remover to the spot.
• Using the dampened cloth, rub the Etch Remover in a circular motion over the etched area for at least 90 seconds.
• Pull back the solution with a squeegee or simply remove and rinse.
• Evaluate the area and if it looks acceptable, remove all residue with water and a clean cloth.
• If the area looks better but not sufficent, repeat the process.
• If the area looks shinier but still has a deep etch, sanding may be required prior to using the Etch Remover.

Troubleshooting

To remove a dull spot on your marble, limestone, or calcite-based material, use Etch Remover. If the etch is still noticeably visible, try honing or sanding the spot with 400-grit wet sandpaper. Also, confirm if your stone is calcite-based by performing an acid and/or scratch test. Green marble is not marble, it is serpentine. Granite will not fizz or scratch, and true quartzite is similar to granite. Make sure to correctly identify the stone before attempting any polishing or removing techniques.
