These are yummy to the kids and when your kids need iron it's great to know they won't fuss to take their medicine at all. My 4 year old reminds me every morning that she needs her medicine- she even tried to get more later on in the day! (Of course I monitor it it's just awesome that I don't have to fight for her to take her yucky medicine)

My daughter would not take liquid iron supplements and the pharmacist said that an adult dose, even cut in half, would be too much for her. (The doctor later disputed that.) Either way, these taste good, and she didn't fight them as much. She still didn't want to take a supplement, but at least these were palatable. Her iron was at 5.7 ng/ml at the end of April. We started supplements - two tabs per day. After six weeks, her iron was up to 8.2. At that point, her doctor advised to increase to three tabs per day, and her iron was up to 11.0 after another three weeks. She was coming up about 1 ng/ml per week. At the end of June she ended up having an iron infusion because her iron was still so low - they wanted her at 50. I share this to show how well they work and absorb. We've discontinued supplementation, but would continue using these if needed. Her hematologist had never heard of this brand, but was very impressed by the results. He said he'll recommend these chewables to other patients that cannot tolerate liquid supplements.
