Years ago, I suggested to Phil Fons that since he was a man of such personal conviction about people taking charge of their own health, the Institute of Continued Learning participants at Dixie State in St. George, Utah would benefit from his expertise. He followed up and taught a well-attended and enthusiastic-response class for eight years. This book has grown out of his research and lecture notes from those years. Phil was working on his manuscript with his wife, Evelyn's able assistance.Unfortunately, at age 92, he died and left her to carry on his dream of sharing his research and personal-experience results with the students who had begged him to write a book.
