[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this is an excellent product, offering a compelling package of sleek design with efficient performance. To start, the design of this vent hood is top notch. I love how the part of the hood that is actually 42 inches has a very small height, which enables the vent to cover a large surface area while maintaining a visually unobtrusive profile. It is important that vent hoods not obstruct a kitchen (especially an island vent hood), so it is an excellent feature that this hood instead has a minimal impact on views across the room. The stainless steel finish of the product is also high-end, and this, combined with the black glass on the 42 inch vent section and the elegantly lit soft-touch interface buttons, give the vent a visually alluring, modern presence. Another standout design feature with this hood is the lighting. The LED lighting strips are beautiful and elegant, offering a modern touch to the room. The three levels of brightness offer flexibility, with the smaller light serving as a nice kitchen light at night, providing a modern accent to the kitchen, while the highest settings fully illuminate food and reflect nicely off of the glass Electrolux induction range below (clearly I'm a fan of the brand). A final note on the design - because the lights and finish are so visually attractive, and because the 42 inch section has a minimal impact on views in the kitchen, the hood becomes a statement piece that clearly adds to any kitchen, rather than one that obstructs it and is something to look past. This is a particularly compelling point given it's an island vent hood, so it naturally will be located in a high-traffic area, so it is really great that the piece is so beautiful and something to show off and draw the eye. Functionally, the vent hood is excellent. The three fan speeds provide a flexible array of settings for different cooking needs. I am impressed how the lower speed is very quiet while still providing venting, and how fast the higher speed goes (naturally the volume increases but not to an unreasonable degree), demonstrating power to vent high-intensity cooking situations. A nice touch here as well is the automatic heat sensor which turns on the venting if the hood senses a certain amount of heat below it. This is a thoughtful touch that nicely avoids the situation where a chef forgets to turn on the fan until midway through their cooking and the steam, smoke, etc. have already filled the room. Overall, this vent hood has great, efficient, and thoughtful functionality. Ultimately, this vent hood is an excellent choice for any kitchen, providing powerful, efficient functionality with an incredible modern design that makes an elegant, modern statement. I highly recommend.
