Sawdust City wood signs with sayings are great wall decor for every home wanting to add their own personal touch to their space. With a wide range of sizes, colors, and topics, we have a sign for every season or reason!

We hand-make every sign from raw lumber all the way to finished piece. First, we bevel the edges of most of our signs to give a classic "frame" for the sign's design. With smaller signs, we leave the edges flat so you can either hang the sign or display it on a flat surface. For hanging, we route a simple slot in the back to make it easy to hang on a small nail, screw, or even push-pin. Yes, really!

After painting, the sign goes to printing to apply the design. Finally, we stain the sanded edges to give a warm, aged look, and your sign is ready to ship to you!

Our knotty pine signs do not use highly processed wood. The final look and finish is intended to be rustic and aged, with visible knots and other minor imperfections.

How to Hang a Sign

We make it easy to hang your new sign. We don't add anything to the sign like sawtooth or ring hangers to scratch your walls. Our routed slot in back makes it simple to line up to a small screw or nail. Our signs are even light enough that it's usually not necessary to to a stud. However, you know your walls best, so use your discretion in hanging your sign in a safe place.

1. Place a nail, screw, or push-pin in the wall in your desired location.
   
2. Line up the routed slot on the back of the sign with the nail.
   
3. Press sign flush against the wall.
   
4. If the sign is crooked, slide left to right on the nail until the sign balances.
