Perfect replacement for discontinued model.

I bought this to replace a discontinued model with a broken flap. New flaps were not available separately, and after replacing the complete door which ended up broken again, I could no longer find a complete door available for purchase. This model is much more refined and installation is a breeze because, instead of cutting a filler strip to a specific width, the two halves of the door frame slip together and overlap, making installation much easier than the discontinued model. This door has a soft close feature, the four position lock is well designed, and the lock is directly at the bottom instead of there being a lock on either side. I believe this design is much less prone to breakage caused by your pet trying to push through when locked. The best part for me is that this new door, despite having a different cutout shape, fits just fine into the old cutout. I'm very happy with this product and would recommend it to others.
