An "assembly" is set of manufactured parts or components that work together in unison as one mechanism or device. A lid, also known as a cover, is part of a container, and serves as the closure or seal, usually one that completely closes the object. A drain is a channel, conduit, or pipe designed to carry away or channel superflous liquids for disposal or reclamation. A drain assembly is one or more components of a larger mechanism that facilitates as a drain. A drain assembly component may be a pipe, stopper, pan, basket, valve, filter, plug, hose etc. A drip pan or drain pan is a container for catching material such as water or grease that drips from above (as from the burners of a gas range or condensation from an evaporator). It is usually a shallow rectangular metal or plastic pan used especially for baking and roasting, frying, and water containment and may be connected to a drain or drain pipe. A pan is any device used as a container or a collector. A pan may refer to a shallow cooking implement used on a burner or in an oven or it may refer to a similar collecting implement used to capture water, condensation, grease, shortening, and other drainage. A pan may also be used to contain processed food items such as meat, fruit and vegetables, and crumbs as they exit a mincer, slicer, or dicer.
