Love this file cabinet. it's got a lot of room. my files are in the top drawer %26 the bottom drawer is for storage. i like the idea of being able to lock it up when my grandkids come over. i also like the fact that i can file either vertically or horizontally in either drawer.

I don’t normally take time to review products but people need to know a few things before they buy this. 1) the instructions are pretty clear so that’s a plus. 2) the metal is not as sturdy as real office file cabinets but is fine for home use, i guess. 3) i’m keeping this because i just spent over an hour assembling it but i don’t really like: • the way the drawers close (yes, i did all the troubleshooting). • if using the middle hanging bars, the part that attaches the drawer to the drawer slides catches on the bottom corner of the hanging file closest to the side of the drawer. • it’s just eh…basic, not really what i expected/wanted but will I will hopefully get my $100 out of it. 4) when putting the drawer together, do the three middle screws on the longest part BEFORE ‘unfolding’ the metal. Then ‘unfold’ and do the screw in each outside corner and work your way to the inside corner. Finally do the corner screws on the long part. Trust me, it’s much easier. 5) be aware that the ‘light yellow’ is more like a beige manilla folder/envelope color than the listing picture and not aesthetically pleasing in any way. I will be trying to find ways to cover it.
