ā¢ if you smoke your first cigarette within 30 minutes of waking up, use 4 mg nicotine lozenge
ā¢ if you smoke your first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking up, use 2 mg nicotine lozenge according to the following 12 week schedule:
Weeks 1 to 6 - 1 lozenge every 1 to 2 hours
Weeks 7 to 9 - 1 lozenge every 2 to 4 hours
Weeks 10 to 12 - 1 lozenge every 4 to 8 hours
ā¢ nicotine lozenge is a medicine and must be used a certain way to get the best results
ā¢ place the lozenge in your mouth and allow the lozenge to slowly dissolve. Minimize swallowing. Do not chew or swallow lozenge.
ā¢ you may feel a warm or tingling sensation
ā¢ occasionally move the lozenge from one side of your mouth to the other until completely dissolved
ā¢ do not eat or drink 15 minutes before using or while the lozenge is in your mouth
ā¢ to improve your chances of quitting, use at least 9 lozenges per day for the first 6 weeks
ā¢ do not use more than one lozenge at a time or continuously use one lozenge after another since this may cause you hiccups, heartburn, nausea or other side effects
ā¢ do not use more than 5 lozenges in 6 hours. Do not use more than 20 lozenges per day.
ā¢ it is important to complete treatment. If you feel you need to use the lozenge for a longer period to keep from smoking, talk to your health care provider.
Opening Directions:
Squeeze child resistant tabs on each side. Flip up the top of vial. Turn upside down and shake to remove lozenge.

The new formula is not the business....
Please bring back the old formula! The new dual layer formula has a terrible slimy texture, turns my mouth and gums blue, and has an aftertaste. It's awful. First time in 8 years I've considered a Marlboro. I was loyal to the brand, encouraged people to quit because I swore *these lozenges* work. Now I am on the hunt to find a generic semi-comparable to the old nicorette š

New formula is disgusting!
All the negative posts are accurate. The flavor is better with the separate blue coating. After 15 years (yes, 15 years as a steady addicted customer) of thinking I should stop using Nicorette, this may be the time. I take these out of my mouth when they turn into mush after consuming about 80% of the lozenge.

I don't like the new formula. It does not satisfy
I don't like the new formula. It does not satisfy my new cravings. I literally bought the new nicotine lozenges today and it was slimy. It turned blue and it scared me so I slipped up and had a cigarette. I'm not using Nicorette any further unless it's changed to the original formula
