The Blundstone® BL500 style is the original boot that started it all. Part of the Original 500 series. Premium 2.5 mm leather upper. Side elastic panels for easy on and off. Sturdy front and back pull-on tabs. Twin-needle reinforced stitching with a high tensile strength thread. Ergonomically engineered toe spring reduces fatigue. Soft leather and textile lining. Removable comfort footbed features XRD® Technology in the heel pad area for supreme shock absorption. Polyurethane midsole for comfort and underfoot support. Steel shank for torsional stability. Sole is oil, acid and organic fat resistant. Thermo urethane outsole highly resistant to hydrolysis and microbial attack. Imported. I've been buying these boots for over 30 years and they are worth every penny. Comfortable and built to last with leather quality that seems to look good until the soles are worn through, which will take several years with normal wear. i have size 13, slightly narrow feet with basically no arch, and for me the model 500 fits comfortably after a break in period of about a week. once they are broken in, you won't want to wear any other shoe or boot. When I compare them to other shoes and boots I've worn over 6 decades, I have to say they are the best made footwear I've ever owned.
