Alka-Seltzer Cool Action Heartburn Relief Gum, Cool Mint Flavor, 60 Count

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical of the Alka-Seltzer Cool Mint Gum. I figured it would be like every other acid reducer on the market today. Boy was I wrong! I have severe reflux/heartburn to the point that I will wake up in the middle of the night with my throat feeling like it is literally on fire and I can't breathe. I'm on twice daily rx meds, but lately, they don't seem to be doing the job. The last couple of times this has happened, I've automatically reached for my normal acid reducer. When that didn't work, I remembered I had the Alka-Seltzer Gum. By the time I had gotten that I had gotten the gum chewed up to where it was soft like a normal gum would be, I noticed the reflux had started to subside. After another couple of minutes, it would be completely gone! What a relief!

such a happy product. A couple decades ago we had Wrigley Surpass, which was good - but the Alka Seltzer gum was better. Gum seems like the perfect medium for an antacid because it stays in your mouth, helping to cool your throat. nothing else on the market works like this does for issues in the upper GI area.
