The highlighter writing paper has a dotted line dividing the writing area in half, and the lower half is highlighted in yellow indicating where the letters should be placed, making writing much easier for those with low vision. Solid lines have been separated to help the student locate the writing area. Because the paper is simplified visually, letters can be formed and spaced correctly. Starting Star holds a pencil at the beginning of each writing space to give the visual cue of where to start.
