Very good starter coop for

Very good starter coop for the price, with some modifications, of the roof in which I put 2 hinges and a left and right lid roof support and lock latch to secure, also put 2 hinges and 1 left arm support with a lock latch to secure lid. Finally inside added an extra roosting bar and 1" x 1/2" wood used to make a frame and attach chicken wire, so that the chickens are not walking in there poop. I have 10 Black australorp hens living comfortably in this starter coop. I also weather proof stained and put clear gloss varnish to help preserve the light weight wood.

Over all, pretty good.

Over all, pretty good. Made of good, hard cedar. The outer run is a little bit light as far as the thickness of wood as some of the 1" x 2" pieces cracked while screwing them in. We made a few modifications to fit our needs, such as a fully hinged roof and extra lock. Our ducks love it though!

Disappointed

Truthfully I was disappointed. The wood is really cheap and the color was has an orange tint. It doesn't seem well made and predators can probably get in. We are putting a LOT of work into getting it safe for the chickens (more fencing to the tune of $1600.)
