Nice set with a lovely muted palette
I recently got this set as a gift from my partner. I'm a long time fan of charcoal mediums but hadn't tried a charcoal paint yet. While I have yet to complete a larger piece, I've used these paints for some small botanical sketches, and so far I'm enjoying them. They activate easily, layer well, and I like the muted palette. I especially like the Mountain Blue, Ocean Deep and Thistle. Being a charcoal-based paint, they have a nice granulation when painted in thicker layers, but it's also easy to achieve a smoother texture by painting in thinner layers. I look forward to experimenting with them further.

These can be used for more of a wash type coverage style of paint/painting not highly pigmented for a light sketch or outline. not what I was expecting.
