Tramontina Signature 3-Piece 6-Quart Stainless Steel Pasta Cooker with Lid, Oven-Safe, Dishwasher Safe

I bought this one to replace my Tramontina 6 quart, three piece nonstick pasta pot with locking strainer and glass lid. Yes, it's basically the same thing but this one is stainless steel and has a tri -ply bottom. That should allow me more flexibility to use it as a stock pot instead of just for boiling pasta water. There are two things about it that I'm less than enthused about, 1., This one doesn't have the extended lip along the edge of the locking lid to help direct the flow of pasta water and, 2., The Tri-Ply is only a disk attached to the bottom. I checked the Tramontina site and it seems they've stopped making the full tri-ply version. Otherwise this pot should do almost everything I could hope for.
