Key item features

  • BERKLEY VANISH: Boasting the perfect combination of strength and smooth operation, this versatile clear fishing line offers enhanced handling and remarkably easy casting.
  • COMPLETELY CLEAR: Target the wariest fish with a fishing line that is practically invisible underwater. The 100% fluorocarbon construction refracts light like water, making it almost impossible for fish to detect.
  • HIGH STRENGTH PER DIAMETER FLUOROCARBON FISHING LINE: The Vanish fish line offers a break strength of 30lb | 13.6kg. Length: 2000yd | 1828m. The Clear design disguises the presence of the line.
  • OPTIMAL WET STRENGTH: This heavy duty fishing line is non-absorbing and maintains its durability and abrasion resistance even when submerged.
  • WIDE RANGE OF BREAK STRENGTHS AVAILABLE, from 4 pounds to 60. Diameter of 0.020in | 0.50mm ensures exciting fights end well.
  • MAXIMUM DEPENDABILITY: This Trilene fish line maintains optimal flexibility in frigid temperatures, making it ideal for conditions that would compromise lesser lines.
  • FORWARD THINKING FLEXIBILITY: Traditional fluorocarbon lines are rigid and can break under pressure. Through continuous improvement, the innovative Vanish formula provides increased flexibility that helps you land every bite.
  • FEEL THE BITE: Get a handle on things with a line composition that sinks underwater to deliver higher sensitivity and a more direct profile from rod top to lure.

Totally awesome fluorocarbon line, dude!

I do a lot of surf fishing off the San Diego beaches here in Socal and my line of choice is Berkley Vanish. I typically tie up snelled leaders of Vanish 4lb. to 8lb. test and attach it to a 10lb.Carolina rig main mono line setup. I'm impressed on how the Vanish is so lightweight/invisible yet strong enough to handle hookups of corbina/halibut/large surf perch or the occasional snags of kelp/eelgrass. Plus, the Vanish is an affordable option to some of the more expensive fluorocarbon lines out there.

Great line at a great price

You can find flourocarbon line that just about needs to be purchased on the installment plan. Is it better than vanish? Not from what I have seen. Berkley Vanish is true flourocarbon line at a price that we can all afford. I have been using it extensively for the past two years. I piece varying thicknesses together for fly fishing leaders as well use it as my go to line for both spinning and casting reels. Overall, the line performs extraordinarily well in all applications. Sensitivity is superb and castability is equally awesome. There are a ton of discussions out on the web debating the best overall knot to use on flourocarbon line. I have found that the ultra simple Davy knot works just fine. I have yet to lose a fish using this knot.

Line you cannot beat

I have been using this line since Berkley came out with it. The only problem with the line is you can only use the Palomar Knot with it. All other knots have a tend to break off all the time. I use this line on all my Reels, to include my Center Pins. It has enough stretch to take the impact of a large Steelhead jumping (water walking) and the low visibility to be able to catch Natives out of a small stream. Easily seen out of the water so you can make sure you are not getting any line drag. You can use a light line and still land those trophy fish. I use 4 pound and I am still landing these monsters in the pictures with no problem. Can't say enough good things about this fishing line.
