Nobody likes being lied to. I have several real 20000mAh chargers and this was so much lighter in weight that I knew I had to find out for sure, so I tested it, but without disassemble to see the puny batteries used. This feels cheap, like a dollar store toy. It does not offer the power to recharge a phone more than about 2 times. You can tell by the rattle that the case is about empty and the batteries are small. The manual is useless and is in Chinese - how useful! I think based on the case size that this could be a 20000mAh charger with the right batteries in it. But, they figured out how to make it suck by putting in smaller batteries. There is a plastic cover over the charging ports that is already broken / missing. The compass does not point north - and is the sort that you used to get in a crackerjack box. The one button interface for activating the flashlight modes only work if you are fast at clicking. The flashlight might be good for camping, but sheesh, you have as good a light built into your phone. This is deplorable garbage. Consider buying a real charger from a real company. One of the clues will likely be the heft of the battery bank itself - but also how well it works to recharge a phone or power a laptop.

The switch to turn on the LED flashlight BROKE at first use and got stuck in the flashing mode. The HOTPOM Solar Charger was still flashing when I returned it to the store next day. Did I get a lemon or was it a low quality product?
