I checked the size chart carefully. I usually wear an XL, but the sizing on these were very different from my usual XL. I was a little hesitant as the chart and my measurements said I needed a 3X. So that is what I ordered. After four babies, the belly is not what it use to be and these fit so well over my fat tummy. They are high waisted, so they pull up over the fat roll. This makes sitting in restaurants very COMFORTABLE. At my age it is all about comfort. I am not sure everyone would like the fabric, it is not real soft but it is not irritating either, so not uncomfortable. I was just so happy to find a pant that sits well when dinning out as that is our treasured retirement past time... favorite lunch haunts. Despite the size, the legs are not baggy and when it is really cold, my thermals will easily fit under them. For me they are really a god send, so ordered in many colors. I wear a T or blouse with a sleeveless vest over them.

I'm not sure others would agree with my rating as they might find these leggings on the less expensive side in quality. I rated them high as they are EXACTLY what I NEED. The legs are tight and the tummy is loose; doesn't cut me in half. As a senior that has lost 5 inches in height, that means a lot of the fat has accumulated around my waist line, so I need a garment that hugs my still good legs, but allows my tummy to breathe. I am sure all you ladies of age that have had 4 children, can appreciate. They are on the thin side material wise, but I wear some light weight thermals under them. I am always cold, so the leggings are for color and appearance to pair with a blouse and sleeveless vest. So for me they are five star; would they be for you, I don't know, but if the above information helps you select, good luck. For me they are wonderful, so I got a tock pile of colors.
