Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 Laptop, FHD+ 14 inch Touchscreen, Intel Core 5 120U (Beats i7-1355U) , 32GB DDR5 512GB SSD , FP Reader, Backlit KB, WiFi 6E, Win 11 Pro

I'm taking a multimedia class now, so I needed a computer for editing video. I'm also a hobby photographer and the laptop I had was frustratingly inadequate for photo editing. I wanted a laptop and not a desktop because I didn't want to buy something that I would ONLY use for video, because I haven't decided whether or not I'll stick with it. I take my laptop all over the house, and I'd resent a desktop. I chose the smaller 256GB drive over the larger one because this one is SSD. If space becomes an issue (it probably will), I'm not against getting a storage drive. I'm new to all this, and I didn't know if the SSD would make up for the fact that the processor is an i5 quad and not a more powerful i7, but everyone said it would. Since I don't own an i7 HDD, I can't compare performance but I can say that I am not at ALL disappointed in getting this laptop. I've got Photoshop Elements 15 and Premiere Elements 15, and installation took much less longer than I expected. Both programs open up in less than 30 seconds (I didn't time it exactly, but it's fast). I haven't opened them up at the same time though, so I can't comment on its usability for several resource heavy programs. The little editing I've done has gone smoothly--playback is no issue, but rendering a 3 minute video took about 45 seconds (not sure if that's good or bad). I'm not a tech head, but my husband is and I'm sure that if I wanted to add space in the future he'd be able to help, so I'm very happy with this laptop. I gave it five stars because it suits my needs perfectly. Other notes: It arrived on time. Like most laptops, it was packaged well, and everything was pristine. The backlit keyboard is something I didn't realize I need in my life before this computer.
