I got these because I had two bulbs go out in my kitchen. I got this brand at the store and wanted the same ones I used In other parts of the house. The store did not have any in stock and I needed 6 of them to replace all the kitchen lights. These are very bright and the color is very good. Is a nice white that seems to bring out all the colors of the kitchen out without being overwhelmed by light. Several friends have noticed the difference and liked the new brightness. Don't know about long-term life but do really like these new bulbs. There is no flickering noticed at all. Have in the past noticed this with older bulbs and did not like those. These are very very good bulbs. Have replaced all my ceiling recessed lights bulbs with these. The only down side Is that you will now see all the dust you've missed in your past cleaning , lol. Totally recommend
