German Liebkuchen is so delicious! It's gingerbread, not crispy but more cake-like. The Nuerenberger recipe as plain gingergread is my fav. This was a Christmas treat for my son who loved living in Germany as a young child when I was stationed there. There are many varieties of liebkucken. Some are chocolate, some choc. dipped and some are just glazed.
