2024 China 1 oz Proof Silver Moon Festival Panda with COA

This Panda release from the China Mint depicts a Panda Bear staring at the reflection of the moon in a pool of water. Swimming around the moon is a Chinese whiskered dragon, making this year’s Moon Festival release the first-ever to acknowledge to the current Zodiac Year—in this case the 2024 Year of the Dragon! The medal’s obverse features the Shenyang Mint’s “Y” mint mark, distinguishing the producing mint unique only to this one-ounce silver medal! It also depicts an ancient Chinese armillary sphere, the Great Wall of China, and “China Great Wall” in Mandarin Chinese. The watery portion of the reverse design includes an aqua colored resin “water effect” over that portion of the design to enhance the reflection of the gold-toned moon and Chinese whiskered dragon swimming in the reflective pool. These Moon Festival Panda Proofs have been struck in a Troy ounce of highly pure 99.9% fine silver and measure 40 mm in diameter. The China Mint has set the worldwide edition limit for the 2024 One-Ounce Silver Moon Festival Panda at just 1,888.
