Acerbis 2404200001; 1 Piece Chain Guide Blocks Black

I run these in hare and hound and various other off-road events. Drive components get really beat up in these races and I will say for being significantly cheaper than TM Design they hold up pretty well. The main problem I have had on multiple of these chain guides is that the receiving threading in the bottom of the chain guide becomes dislodged from the plastic. It makes them pretty unrepairable because you cant tighten the screws. If Acerbis improved the design there they would be incredible. It would probably be best to just use screws that go directly into the plastic. The main pro for the chain guide is its lack of metal. When chain guides have metal brackets such as oem KTM, they tend to bend into the sprocket causing big problems.

I do not want to bash Acerbis but I will just explain my experience. I am sure they make quality after-market versions for other bikes but not mine. I have 2016 Kawasaki KX100 and this also is meant for an 85. KX100/85 2014 - 21. I was sent one of these by rocky mountain and it didn't fit. So I went to Acerbis themselves and they sent a replacement part which also didn't fit. This particular one is meant to be a replacement for stock, not an upgrade. To start, the guide is made out of a harder, more susceptible to break material, the whole guide was warped so it wouldn't allow the chain to sit properly because of the gap. The threaded sheath in the side closer to the wheel was improperly fitted and would make the bolt pull to the left if you just were threading it into one side, obviously won't work with both of them together. There were casting marks left all over the guide and marks making it look like it was taken bad care of during manufacturing, the casting marks would wear your chain down quicker. The washers that come with it are supposed to be in the chain guide when you get it they are not, you would have to press them in. There are a few features from the OEM one that this one is missing. After all that, the holes would not line up after trying to be installed.
