Badger Basket's unique Covered Convertible Cedar Sandbox with Two Bench Seats is sure to become a favorite hangout for the neighborhood kids! It features two comfortable benches and measures 46.5 inches L x 46.5 inches W x 9.5 inches H overall so there is plenty of room for several kids to dig, build, and explore together. But wait, there's more! The benches fold flat to cover and protect the sand when playtime is done! Handgrips make it easy to fold and unfold. Bottomless construction helps with drainage and allows you to adjust sand depth. Made with heat-treated, stained cedar wood and rust-resistant hardware. The hinges are stainless steel and the screws are zinc plated. All finishes are non-toxic. When the benches are unfolded for play, open sand area measures 31 inches x 44.75 inches (there is also sand under the benches). Height of seat back: 7.5 inches. Depth of seat: 7.5 inches. Width of seats between the center and edge bars (two seats per bench): 14.5 inches. Height from ground to top of seat back with benches up: 17 inches. At top when seats are open: 53 inches L x 46.5 W. Interior of the sandbox area: 44.75 inches L x 44.75 inches W. Assembled weight: 49 lbs. All measurements approximate. Do not install the sandbox on top of bricks, pavers, or concrete because this can interfere with drainage and damage the product. Each bench can support up to 200 pounds. Meets all current, applicable ASTM safety standards. Holds approximately 750 pounds of sand to fill it 6 inches deep (calculated assuming average of 100 lbs. per cubic foot for dry sand and 4 sides x 46.5 inches L x 6 inches H equals 7.5 cuft.). Awesome sandbox!
We are very happy with this! Not hard to put together. Really big and comfortable for 4 kids to play on together. Top is heavy so cats can't get into it and use it as a litter box and wind can't lift the lid up. Only thing is there is no bottom so you have to buy a weed guard to put under it so weeds and such don't start growing through the sand, but it's such a nice sand box that wasn't a huge issue for us.

Only took a few minutes to put together and fill with sand which is great when you have little ones so excited to play. Very impressed overall great price, great value, great product. After reading other reviews I took their advice and filled with only 13 50 lb bags which was the perfect amount of sand 15 bags would have been too many! This was a perfect gift for my children they have spent hours in the sand already and we have only had it for 2 weeks (they even try to sneak out to get in the sand they love it so much)
