Swann 6 Camera 8 Channel 12MP Pro Enforcer™ NVR Security System - SONVK-890004B2DE

Just recently purchased this set, after months of reading about all kinds of cameras, features and youtube videos. Short I would purchased again. The long there is a couple features that seem not to work as intended. Well everyone wants to see the bad first. Its not bad just frustrating: One of the reasons I purchased this set was your suppose to be able to use "zones" to set deterrent levels, such as turning on the spot light, or alarm if there is movement with in the marked area. This seems to be not working correctly, as its way to sensitive and sets off the spot light or alarm no matter what, as soon as there is a detection. The only way it does not is if you mark 1 square then all it just does not work. Its quite simple set up, and the instructions on youtube and the manual are simple so I know I am setting it correct. I have opened several support tickets on this only to get no response and they just close the ticket. That is rude. The alarm sound and talk feature are really bad, sounds like a screeching garbled noise. I opened tickets with this and 20 days later I am told there is still an issue with this feature. I was hoping to use this zoning feature so I could set up at least the spot light to only come on when detection is with in the marked area, however like mentioned this does not work as intended, on any of my cameras, bullet or dome so I assumed it a bug or issue with the programming as its on all camera. The good: Even thought I am very disappointed the above features dont work as intended, my hope is it will be corrected with some update, so this would not deter me from purchasing. Set up was easy and the use of a wireless mouse is great. I would suggest you plan your layout before running all the cables, but that is to be expected. I had planned on using one of my front cameras as a 24X7 record, but it does great on just motion, as it picks up cars and other items that I wanted it to so I am very pleased at this performance. Much better than my previous brand and it does not miss items. There are a lot of features and options to configure, which is great as everyone is different as to what their needs are. I was impressed the amount of data 2TB holds, as I expected to be updating to 6 but at this point I dont think I need do. Like the system a lot, and I am hoping the deterrent feature gets some correction as I would like to have it work as intended to where you can still record but not activate the light until a subject enters a "marked" area on the grid
