TUF-2000M Ultrasonic Water Flow Meter TS-2/TM-1/TL-1 Transducer Digital Liquid Flowmeter Used For Metal Or PVC Plastic Pipe
Introduction:The ultrasonic flow meter is designed to measure the fluid velocity of liquid within a closed conduit. The transducers are a non-contacting, clamp-on type, which will provide benefits of non-fouling operation and easy installation.
The flow meter operates by alternately transmitting and receiving a frequency modulated burst of sound energy between the two transducers and measuring the transit time that it takes for sound to travel between the two transducers.

6. More than 4 different kinds of communication protocol supported by the same time, include MODBUS, Meter-BUS.
7. Date totalizers that can record as much as 64 sets of data by day, 32 sets of data by month. All the data can be retrieved by use of the MODBUS registers.

9. Built-in data logger/printer, full programmable with what to be print, the start time, interval, and output times.
10. Power supply by 8VDC~36VDC/50mA or 10VAC~30VAC/50mA.
Terminals:
The following parameters need to be configured for a proper measurement:
(1) Pipe outer diameter
(2) Pipe wall thickness
(3) Pipe materials (for non-standard pipe materials*, the sound speed for the material must be configured too)
*Standard pipe materials and standard liquids refer to those with the sound parameters that have already been programmed into software of the flow meter, therefore there is no need to configure them
(4) Liner material and its sound speed and thickness, if there is any liner.
(5) Liquid type (for non-standard liquids, the sound speed of the liquid is also needed)
(6) Transducer type adapted to the flow meter.
(7) Transducer mounting methods (the V-method or Z-method is the common option)
(8) Check up the Space displayed on M25 and install the transducers accordingly.
(9) Store the parameter setup.
Requirements for pipeline installation:
Try to meet the requirements of the straight pipe section, at least 10 times the pipe diameter from the upstream elbow and 5 times the downstream pipe diameter. When not satisfied, install the sensor as close as possible to the lower part of the middle.
If there is an insulation layer outside the pipe, remove part of the insulation layer according to the installation distance and installation mode, and ensure that the two sensors are on the same axis section after positioning, and the sensor must be installed on the side of the pipe.
Metal pipe needs to be polished, use angle grinder or straight plate file in the installation point to grind out a square of about 1.5 times the area of the bottom of the sensor (PVC tube does not need grinding, wipe clean) after polishing requirements: bright, non-corrugated, no rust point.
Sensor installation and adjustment:
(1) At the bottom of the upstream (UP) sensor, evenly smear 3~5mm with a coupling agent or silica gel, and secure the upstream (UP) sensor at the pipe grinding point.
(2) View the sensor installation distance in the menu M25 window.
(3) At the bottom of the downstream (DN) sensor, evenly smear 3~5mm with a coupling agent or silica gel, and then slightly secure the downstream (DN) sensor at the distance shown by M25.
(4) Slowly move the downstream (DN) sensor and observe the M91 and M90 windows at the same time to ensure that the transmission ratio of the M91 window is less than 100 ±3, and ensure that the signal strength and signal quality Q values of the upstream and downstream of the M90 window are greater than 60 (the larger the better). After confirmation, the downstream (DN) sensor is fixed with steel straps.

Notes:
You should apply the silicone gel to the contact surface of the sensor and pipe to prevent air interference. This is a very necessary step. Otherwise, the device will not receive a good signal.
