3.5-Inch USB 2.0 SATA HDD Enclosure (EC-STUK)

Not much to say, but it works well, which is what I got it for. The build quality seems good, and it works fine for long periods of disk accesses (as in, a computer backup). This is replacing an enclosure by another manufacturer that didn't do the latter. I suspect the internal electronics (not the disk itself) were overheating on that other enclosure. The instructions with this enclosure are kind of minimal, especially with regard to setting the jumper (fortunately, I didn't need to do that). Note that the screw holes to secure the hard drive to the case are hidden under the sliders on each long edge. Screws and a screwdriver are provided with the enclosure, so you really don't need any tools. This isn't a complaint, but be aware the the blue power LED is really bright. You'll want to cover it up if you're using it in a dark room. It casts shadows!

I've move over several hundred gigabytes of photos to the Sabrent 3 5 SATA SATA II to USB 2 0 enclosure without any problems and quick enough to suit my needs. While it took an hour or so to do the job, the enclosure felt a little warm but not excessively so. I'm strongly considering purchasing another one for a second hard drive.
