We're on a Septic system so we have to be careful of what goes down the drain - has to be septic system safe. This says it is...so we thought it was ok to use. It worked like a champ - even better than a champ! Directions says to pour in affected drain and wait 7 minutes, the flush the pipe out with fresh water. Seven minutes later no clogged bathroom sink!!!!! This is a trouble sink that always becomes slowly clogged over the course of several months, then at some point the sinks water lever rises faster than it can drain even with tap turned at half blast! We used to use a different brand and it was supposed to sit for about 15 minutes before you flushed the pipes and you could smell the acidic aroma while it ate thru the clog - you had to run the ceiling fan as well as open the window for ventilation.
