Instructions are ALL PICTORIAL, but very accurate. Read thru it several times before starting. So after figuring out the pictorial steps and assembling, and before making this review, THIS THING DID NOT ALLOW A SINGLE DROP OF LEAKED RAIN FOLLOWING A 3 DAY, SOAKING 4" RAIN EVENT TO PASS THRU. Very Pleased The machining of each part absolutely spot-on perfect, and again Very Please. But there always has to be a But. You must PLAN to erect this where it can be secured to a wall, patio, etc because the long legs only have but so much stability from horizonal stresses, wind, etc. That's not the product's fault. Assembly took us 3 sets of hands, but two would have work okay. Loosely tighten the various steps and it will go together better for you because the machining of holes, threaded fittings, etc are so beautifully engineered. Snug them later. Also, I made a mistake. I wanted an 8x10 (8 ft out from the house and 10 ft wide). I DID NOT READ THE DETAILS WELL ENOUGH BUT RELIED ON THE PICTURE ON THE SITE. So, please review all the details carefully before buying. Shockingly there's a difference between 8x10 and 10x8. In my case I was able to re-jiggle my concept for the patio layout. I was not going to try to return it because it was my mess up. Finally, I'm planning on buying an extended-handle roof ""brush"" in fear of the occasional heavy snow so as to keep it from experiencing bad things. I hope it goes well for you.
