The show's story places the Stone family in the fictional Midwestern small town of Hilldale, where Donna encounters typical family problems and life experiences. Whether it's hosting a dinner party for friends, catering to her husband's needs, or reveling in the activities of her children, the perfect housewife does it all with style and grace. The cast also features Carl Betz as Dr. Alex Stone, a hardworking pediatrician and charming husband, and Paul Petersen (Jeff Stone) and Shelly Fabares (Mary Stone), the couple's teenage children.
