This is amazing for making perfectly evenly cooked bacon every single time. Best bacon I've ever had-- also makes it easier to degrease because there aren't any of those curly pockets you normally get where the grease can collect. I'm sure it's good for other stuff too, I haven't tried it yet, but for bacon it is ESSENTIAL. I don't know why this kind of kitchen tool isn't more widely used.
