If I had one bit of criticism, it is that there are some spots in the finish that are white and not stained all the way, but we just got some furniture markers. we've used the table with and without a tablecloth, and we always make sure to use placemats and coasters, but as a toddler mom I am totally pleased and think that this table will serve as well for many many years. Terrific style and value!
