Excellent for organizing everything for tax prep!

Needed a file to finally organize my bills and paperwork for taxes. This file box, along with the hanging folders, is making it so much easier for me. And after my tax filing is done, I can just leave everything in place and store it in case I get audited! In past years I just threw everything into a plastic bin (and last year the IRS needed a clarification and I had to dig and sort to find what they were asking for... never again!).

great small file box

very nice inexpensive file box. i did purchase hanging file folders. i like to move old files to a box and keep in storage such as : copies of older filed taxes, important papers I do not need to access quickly, etc. then, I keep a box under my desk of current paperwork. ie: EOB from Medicare, past 2 years of taxes filed, current renters insurance, etc. i find using this method cuts down on clutter. i highly recommend the file box.

I initially puchased just a few of these for archiving documents as I needed dust free storage whiich banker's boxes were not proviiding. Now I am hooked! I have reordered these several times as needed for not only filing--I also use one as a follow-up "tickler" file, and storage for other important items that I store in a "go box" area in case of water damage or evacuation. The boxes stack well, and file labels don't get crunched.
