The Canterville Ghost (DVD)

Wish I could add ten stars to this movie. It is a very, very lovable - and funny - movie. xo Patrick Stewart is as Patrick Stewart usually is: STUPENDOUS as Sir Simon, the ghost. Neve Campbell is great as Virginia. They showed real chemistry, together. It's set in a 15th century, English castle. It has history, ghost story, romance and wholesome family values, and wraps all of those things into a very enjoyable and "calming" movie. It's a perfect rainy Sunday, movie. I've lost count of how many roasts or Sunday sauces I've made while watching this DVD with the fireplace going, rain or snow beating against the windows, votive candles twinkling merrily on a coffee table and a steaming cup of tea with milk and sugar set on a pretty saucer. Sigh... Love this movie. I watch it whenever I've had a bad day. Whenever I'm sick. Whenever I need to calm down - which is usually.. LOL :) The is the second time I've purchased this movie as my DVD player completely died with this movie IN IT!! (That was hard to take - still can't believe it happened, but I digress..) So, I had to buy the DVD, again. Worth every penny. Buy it!! You'll love it. If you have kids, they'll love it. It's a great movie for all ages.
