I actually bought this for my 4-year-old as an Easter basket stuffer. She really enjoyed it! There are some things that she couldn't do independently, like putting on temporary tattoos, which tracks that the age on the box is for much older kids. She enjoyed painting, using the glitter glues, stickers, and googly eyes. Most of the rocks were a decent size for her to hold and paint.
