Brabantia Trash Can Newicon, 8 Gallon / 30L Brilliant Steel

Frankly, I do not usually waste my time on reviewing things I buy. However, this is a truly marvellous bin. Having spent the last few years with a bin you had to open with your hand which, as a result, you couldn't scrape food into, then with a bin with a foot pedal so badly made that it broke in less than a year, I marvel at the wondrousness of this bin. It has a lovely, smooth opening foot pedal, it doesn't travel across the floor when opened, you can put the bags in and there really is "no unsightly overhang", it has a lovely, slow closing action. And, it was no more expensive than the last rubbish (in both senses of the word) bin I bought. And, best of all, it's yellow! And it was in stock! I bow down in wonder at its all round loveliness!

It is the Ferrari of the bin world. Looks great. Perfect size for my small kitchen. Love the pedal action that lifts the lid and shuts it back automatically but ever so gently. The bin does not move as you use it. The inner container has some very useful anchors for the bin bag to fit perfectly. The fingerprint proof is an added convenience. Love it! Love it!
