Water tastes better %26 easy install. Great value.

We had an older Culligan under sink filter set that used 2 cartridges and fed a dedicated cold water tap for drinking water. I had been buying Pentak brand filters for it. Last replaced about a year ago. Went to order replacements as it was due. The filter set was discontinued by Culligan %26 Pentak. I could not find anyone that offers them as a set, only the carbon filter. I realized I did not need the filtering capability of the 2-filter set as we have public water that is healthy. Just need the carbon filter to remove the chlorine taste. This filter fits the bill. Installation was easy and we kept the existing drinking water tap on the sink. I did have to buy (2) John Guest 3/8" to 1/4" reducers for the tubing as the new filter is plumbed for 3/8" tubing and the valve the old one tapped into and the tap are 1/4". No big deal. The flow rate is excellent (much better than with the old 2-filter setup) and the water tastes good. In addition, the replacement cartridges are readily available and inexpensive compared to what I was paying before. Mission accomplished.
