Doctor & Sarah Jane Smith with the Thing

A must have for all Tom Baker fans... But beware... you may not want to visit any large gardens or have house plants in your house. Also look for Angles in this DVDs gardens.

For years, since the days of my youth, I have admired the creative genius of the late Howard Phillips Lovecraft. His influence is unmistakable in this classic episode. There are obvious ties to the Cthulhu Mythos at both levels of this production: the story line and in the central themes. This episode is one of the best produced, written, and animated story lines in the Doctor Who saga. The meld of dark fantasy with science fiction comes across as being well done and brilliant in execution.
