Super sticky, like a winter tire for your foot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You'd think a boot would already have enough traction to handle a Minnesota winter but most won't hold up to the packed in snow and ice we see here. These bad boys really are sticky and keep you from slipping too much. There's no such thing as perfect traction technology in terms of footwear but this is the best I've found. As a dog walker, I need something that stays on my boot, doesn't wreck floors when I go inside, and keeps me from slamming my tailbone onto the solid ice covered sidewalks. So far, this I'm incredibly satisfied!

Major upgrade to ice traction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The trex are a great addition to my work gear. I am on a lot of different job sites around Wisconsin and the weather is always changing. These traction devices are awesome for not having to take them on and off all the time being that they are spikeless. The ease of taking them on and off is another bonus. I tried them on all different boot styles and was able to get them on and off all styles of boots. When traction gets suspect I reach for these trex instead of my old style with the metal spikes. Another bonus is that they don't rust like some other styles causing less mess as well.

We get ice in Tennessee. Honest!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Winter ice in West Tennessee is either nonexistent or catastrophic. We haven't learned how to winter like well-balanced adults. So, it may be forever until I really get to see how well these work; it could also be tomorrow. Having had the joy of sliding on my belly down the slope of my driveway into the street in the dark, clutching for dear life to my now slightly-less-full trash can, praying that no one drives over the crest of the hill and over my helpless person, I have learned the value of good traction, so I was eager to get my hands on these, however infrequent my need for them might be. They aren't something I would want to take on and off with any regularity (these don't just slide on like an overshoe. It took a little effort to get them into place), but as a put it on and leave it on item, I think that they will do nicely. Once situated, they hold fast to my boots like they are an actual part of them. They do not squish around independently, which would compromise your footing. The rubber tread has a nice softness and flexibility to it which should lend itself to keeping rubber on the road, so to speak, but not leaving a mark on interior floors.
