Very simplistic setup with an app

It was really easy to get this vacuum hooked up to my home wifi. I already had mine set as a mixed 2.4g and 5g network so I didn't have to make any changes. The instructions on the Ecovacs app were also clear enough that it took less than 5 minutes. The vacuum itself has pretty strong suction, and it worked equally well on both my carpet and my hardwood floor. I haven't tested out the mopping feature yet, but the scrubbing pads at the back have the added bonus of grabbing any dust that the front vacuum happens to miss. We have two cats and they wander around everywhere the house, but this Ecovacs still manages to get around them and whatever they knock over to keep cleaning. The only improvement I could see with this is if it had a bagless dustbin, so I didn't have to buy additional bags. But it's a really efficient little cleaner with a healthy amount of bells and whistles otherwise.

So many features!

I bought this for my mom's birthday and set it up for her as a surprise. The app was easy to use and pretty self explanatory. I mapped the rooms I wanted cleaned and filled it with water (will be buying floor cleaner soon to add) and started it up. Within 30 minutes I had vacuumed and mopped the floors. I set up the app so it would do vacuuming daily, mop every other day with a deep cleaning on Wednesday. A week later I asked her how she liked it and she complained it never worked. So I looked at the app, saw the history of it running and asked if she was still sleeping at 9am (when it was set to run), she sheepishly smiled and said maybe. I asked were her floors dirty? Nope. Then it worked while she was “resting her eyes”. lol. So it's like a secret ninja vac/mop secretly cleaning her house without bothering her. I may have to get one for my house but I can just see my cats riding in like the videos. I love how it self cleans the mop heads and you can see it actually mops while vacuuming. Well worth it! I have a video of it cleaning the mop heads on the machine and then vacuuming and mopping however, I can't upload it for some reason here so I just took a screen grab showing the essential parts. How it navigates around certain objects and all the different programming that you can do on the app too.
