Smooth and silent!
These wheels are butter-smooth and silent. Just what I needed for new hardwood floors. Be careful - you can push off a desk and slide across the room! A locking caster would be nice for this reason - it's a little too easy to move if you prop your foot up on something etc. But I like that better than the alternative. They really do just push on (and my old wheels pulled right off) - assembly was simple.
