This helps and can be taken along with most OTC and prescription allergy meds (check with pharmacist) Many years ago, my Dr pointed out that the single active ingredient in Benadryl, Diphenhydramine HCI, is the exact same medicine in Unisom %26 some other OTC sleeping pills. Obviously, it causes DROWSINESS. Take it in the evening to see how drowsy it makes you. My husband never takes it during the day, opting for non drowsy Zyrtec, or if he needs it at a late bedtime if he needs to get up early. It makes it hard for him to wake up %26 daytime use causes him to take a nap. Aww! My experience is different, I only feel very mild drowsiness. Of course, severe allergies make your body tired, and this is a better option for me.
