Sadistic Packaging

I had a new box of 312 10 packs. My father in law was visiting and needed some batteries. I handed him one of these new packs and he was totally unable to get it open, Now it was my turn to try. It was awful. I have good use of both hands and was using kitchen shears. I had not imagined something so poorly designed. What if I had arthritis and poor vision? All I have to say here is that the product development people and admistrators who supervised this unholy packaging have totally failed their customer base. I for one will not purchase any more of their products.

The batteries are great, last longer than other batteries I've tried. But the child-proof packaging is terrible. I'm a senior and have trouble opening the package. You need a lot of muscle in your hands to cut it open, and I don't want to carry scissors with me if I need to open the package away from home. Try again with a better package.

Rayvac is doing a good job.

My concern is that I have over estimated my requirement. I trust that adjusting shipment to need will be painless and simple. I do appreciate the safety feature of no mecury included in the product and the tab is a good idea but I have a learnining curve that might take a while. I just don't want to damage the ais while chaning a battery.
