i am so thankful for this product, words cannot express my gratitude. i bought this on the 31st of December %26 used it a few days later—by the second wash, my hair was completely changed. my hair has been struggling since the end of 2021 with inconsistent health. i've always had healthy butt length, luscious, thick, dark, medium porosity 3B/3C curly hair. so strong that i could wash it and leave it without any products with no damage. but postpartum, it completely changed. i could no longer treat my hair the way i used to. my hair was coarse, a mix of all porosities, and falling out every wash day making it patchy at the ends. i struggled with adapting to my new hair after giving birth. by 2022 my hair was gaining good health, slowly reverting back but was still brittle, course in certain areas %26 not retaining moisture. by 2023 my hair was a decent length, much healthier but still dry, not retaining moisture for long periods of time. It finally clicked to just revert to my old high school hair care routine %26 my hair grew to my waist but still was shedding a tremendous amount. ontop of that, was not thick like it used to be. beginning of 2024 my hair was shy of its original health, growing and shedding less, fast forward to 2025 my hair was nearly to my butt again until i was influenced by skala!! Skala completely took all of my hair out by the 2nd use ! The day I bought the skala, I had my eyes on this product but was afraid of using it as reviews mentioned dryness. I should've been weary of Skala instead! My hair was see through and breaking off at the roots i couldn't believe it. i was looking a bald head mess! I had to cut my hair bob length. An entire year and a half of growth down the drain. So, I saved up $150 %26 splurged on old haircare products I used back in highschool including this shampoo. The absolute best decision i could've made for my hair. I first condition my hair, detangle it with the tangle teezer, rinse—then i go in with this shampoo twice. After that, i use a sulfate free moisturizing shampoo, then i deep condition before rinsing with cold water. When i tell you, my hair hasnt felt like this since i was 20! This shampoo healed 4 years of hair trauma. Of course the rest of my routine contributes, but I was already doing this routine before buying this shampoo. I have little to NO shedding now %26 my hair is filling in where it was sparse. I didnt get to take pictures of how much my hair used to shed but this is now what nearly 2 weeks of shedding looks like when it used to be nearly the size of my entire hand just 2 months ago (and i have big hands). i dont wear my hair down, i keep it up in a low tension bun every day, my hair has maintained length %26 is now back to its medium porosity. In just 2.5 months my hair has grown 3.5 inches. I've been using it on my 3C/4A daughter %26 it's great on her hair. forever loyal to this brand. It's true to its purpose.
