Good flavor and high quality
The McCormick Organic Caraway Seeds comes in a glass bottle, which I prefer to the plastic bottles. The seeds are full and unbroken. They have a strong and pleasant flavor. I used them first when I baked some bread. They provided a welcome earthy flavor to the bread and elevated it from a standard loaf. I added it to some sauerkraut and it enhanced it substantially. I love the fact that it is organic. The seeds are long and slender. They provide a taste that is similar to licorice or fennel with a hint of dill and citrus. Teh finish is nice and slightly peppery, without being overwhelming. The seeds came in a vacuum sealed vial with an expiration date about 3.5 years from now…which is nice, because I will be able to use them all before their best by date expires.
