Many legends and fairy tales are associated with geese, including the one about St. Martin, a saint that is loved and respected throughout the country. It is believed that it was the geese that accompanied the Saint everywhere, and in gratitude he took them under his protection. Selma Lagerlöf (Sweden), having written the story The Wonderful Adventures of Nils, presented the story of the boy Nils and the goose Martin. A Bohemian white goose with a blue polka dot bow adorns the famous Thun 1794 porcelain, which brought the Czech Republic world fame. This collection does not need to wait for a particularly festive occasion to be used.
