I live in the desert southwest, in an apartment with a chiller, so I am at the mercy of my landlord to switch from heat to cool when he demanded it warm enough. it has been around 80° nearly all winter and we are stuck with heat. I am on the top floor and the sun on the roof all afternoon makes it really warm in here. like sweaty warm. my dog was overheating. just everything was melting. got this fan 2 days ago and it's made an incredible difference. it is still warm in here around 4pm, but the air is moving very well throughout the living room and kitchen with it backed up to the open balcony door. in the late afternoon before the sun sets, I close the blinds and set it at the security door and it blows really well, still. very pleased with this purchase. we also have a new dug in the neighborhood that will not stop bathing every second of every minute of every hour it's owner is gone, and on high speed it takes off the to absolute top notes of the bark for my dog's nerves. don't get me wrong, there's nothing that will stop the incredible stress my dug had been under for the last 8 days of this, but at least it's a little better

I miss the days when they were 12 bucks, and you're taking a risk of you get them shipped to you, as the last two I bought have arrived bent, so the fans shimmies and shakes, BUT, we live by these! At night, we have them front to back, windows and doors, and vent out the house. In the summers we draw in the cool night air, spring airing out the house is a blessing, and just on hot days, circulating air is a blessing. I have 4 right now, and they are in each room. It provides white noise for tinitus, helps when the neighbors do their target practice and freak out our rescue dog who's scared of gunfire. So in the crate and fan on full to ease the noise pollution until they cease, and it eases his overheated panting, even with a thunder shirt, poor dude was a bait dog, so he has issues, the fan helps. So, yeah, this is a tool I fully believe in! Weather, noise, comfort, sleep, a must have at a great price.
