Pretty nice shelving

I was really surprised when the box arrived, I thought it would be heavier but oh well. Everything was packed really well and everything needed was there. Do yourself a favor and get a *real* rubber mallet, you'll be glad you did. I also got a short piece of 1x6 to use for an anvil of sorts and that kept me from bending any metal while seating the braces. With these substitutions the assembly is a snap. It all seated together very well and it surprisingly sturdy. The "wood" that forms the shelf bottoms could be more sturdy but it's not been an issue thus far. If they go on sale again I may pick up another but paying for shipping gives me pause.

The best you can fund without spending thousands. These have everything I considered essential: - Rolled edges make it stronger. Other companies in this price range don't have those. - Metal cross bars under the shelves. Others only offer those on their largest sizes, or some use plastic. These units also include side connectors so when shelves are side by side, they line up for a clean, professional look. Yes, it is difficult to snap shelves in place. If it was easier, they would be too flimsy. Yes, the little mallet is pretty useless. I used a wood block and hammer. Two or three taps and it's in. Don't tap on the vertical edge, or it will bend. I will lay down vinyl shelf paper so wet MDF won't be a problem. I would definitely choose REIBII again if I need more shelves.
